FAQ
Is 'stimulation' just another word for 'shock'?
No. We use a transcutaneous electrical nerve stimulation (TENS) for correction; much different than static shock. The stimulation shouldn’t be painful, but more of a way to get your dog’s attention - like if someone was to tap you on the shoulder. BravoWalk has 3 modes that employ TENS because refocusing dogs attention varies with their respective leash behaviors.
How is this different than other e-collars on the market?
BravoWalk engages with leash tension and immediately disengages when leash tension is relieved, i.e. your dog stops pulling on the leash. It offers a hands-free solution to leash pulling so no need for a remote like a traditional e-collar.
Does it really work?
Yes! Some customers experience changed walks in as little as one walk. Communication and consistency with training will help your dog learn quicker.
Is there training available to help get started?
Yes! We have partnered with an experienced professional dog trainer to customize a training protocol for using BravoWalk. This training is available free with purchase so customers can learn how to introduce BravoWalk to their dog and improve their walking experience one step at a time.
Is there a remote/controller?
No. The BravoWalk collar is designed to work without a remote.
Is it waterproof?
Yes. BravoWalk Pro is IP67 certified meaning that it is waterproof for up to 30 minutes at a depth of 1 meter.
Will it work on long haired dogs?
The prongs on BravoWalk Pro are longer than the original model and are designed to work better on short & long haired dogs. Fit of the collar is the most important factor in whether BravoWalk Pro will work for your dog. Communication and consistency with training will help your dog learn quicker.
If my dog pulls constantly, how long does the TENS last?
BravoWalk Pro has 5 modes, 3 of which use TENS as a means of behavior correction. Bravowalk engages with leash tension and immediately disengages when your dog stops pulling on the leash. If your dog begins pulling again, the cycle of programming starts over. If your dog continues to pull and doesn’t stop, the programming will last about 20 seconds. At that point, BravoWalk will go automatically into safety mode indicated by a blinking yellow light. In safety mode, no feedback is administered by BravoWalk. A simple manual reset is required to restore function.
What does it mean when my BravoWalk blinks yellow?
Blinking yellow indicates your BravoWalk is in safety mode. Your device needs to be reset. Hold down the button and release when you see the blue light. Touch button and release to confirm your BravoWalk Pro is in your original mode of operation.
